2. What Transkripe does

Transkripe lets users paste a YouTube link and, when captions or subtitles are available, displays a transcript. Users can also create optional AI outputs such as summaries, notes, key points, drafts and other formats from the transcript text.

3. Data we process

• YouTube links or video IDs submitted by users
• available caption/subtitle text used to display transcripts
• AI output requests, selected output type and related prompt data needed to generate the requested result
• account data if a user signs in, such as email address and authentication provider information
• usage and quota data, such as user ID or anonymous visitor identifier, timestamps, output type and usage counters
• technical data needed to operate and secure the service, such as browser/device information, logs and security events
• support messages if users contact Transkripe

We may process limited technical signals, such as IP-derived or hashed information, where needed for security, abuse prevention or usage limits.

6. AI providers and third-party services

• transcript text and prompt data may be sent to model providers only to generate the requested AI output
• YouTube/Google are upstream sources for video pages, captions or related services
• Supabase supports authentication, database and usage metering
• hosting providers process technical data to operate the website
• Google OAuth may be used if users sign in with Google
• Transkripe does not sell transcript text or prompts

We use service providers according to their applicable terms, settings and data processing arrangements.

7. Cookies and local storage

• essential cookies/local storage may be used for login sessions, language preference, security and usage limits
• anonymous visitor identifiers may be used to apply free usage limits
• optional analytics or marketing cookies are only used if enabled and where required with consent

8. Data retention

• transcripts and AI outputs are processed to provide the requested feature and may be temporarily processed in server memory, logs or provider systems
• account and usage records are kept as long as needed to operate accounts, enforce usage limits, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations
• support messages are kept as long as needed to handle the request and related obligations
• users may contact support@transkripe.com for deletion or access requests

For EEA/UK users, you have the right to:
